how to integrate PDA with R\3?

my question is how the sales repersentative use the PDA or handheld in creating sales orders, receiving his activties and and how it will be connected with R\3?

You can use SAP ME

Installing the SAP ME Client Component Locate the document in its SAP Library structure

Use

With this procedure you can install the SAP ME Client Component on your mobile device.

Procedure

1. Enter the following URL on your mobile device:

http://<server>:<port>/meserver/setup/java.

<server>: Name of the machine on which the SAP J2EE Engine is installed

<port>: Standard port of the machine

Note

You can get both values from your system administrator.

2. Enter the user name, password and client from your backend system. Enter the device ID of the mobile device created by your system administrator in field Name. Select the language you need and choose Submit.

A File Download dialog box appears.

3. Choose Save this program to disk and then OK.

4. Choose any directory for the installation files and store your installation files there.

Note

The SAP ME Client Component may not be installed directly on a root directory (e.g. c: or d:).

5. Double-click on the installation file absetup.exe that you just stored.

6. Follow the instructions given on the screen.

The SAP ME Client Component is installed on your mobile device.

Result

The installation program has created an entry for starting SAP ME on your mobile device.

If you are using a PDA, restart your mobile device. For all other mobile devices, restart the SAP ME. For more information see Starting the SAP ME.

well this concept is being used in

CRM.... not in SD

well its being done as simple as when ever the sales person is creating an order he is just creating a email and which is triggering a sales order...

and when ever a STOCK in charge guy updates the STOCK in WARE house in his PDA its again through internet he logs on to screen where he needs to update the stcok which not only updates MB!B OR MB!C but also trigeers a mail to the reginoal incharge.....

well comming to internet n SAP connections.....its bit complicated to discuss ....anyways/// a basis guy cld more eloberate u
