Session terminates - Simply vanishes

Hi,

When i try to open a certain view in sm30, t77aw for instance, the session terminates, no error whatsoever, it just vanishes. Then i have to re-login. Why is this happening? Most views i can change and display from sm30, its just happening for some.

Another transaction in which i am facing similar problem is PFCG. In User tab, when i click the user tab, click the organizational management button, select 'create assignment', select position, enter the position id and press enter, that's when the session vanishes again.

Just upgraded gui to 6.40 and am running on windows vista.

Appreciate if someone can help solve this mystery

Thanks

Hi,

as the <a href="https://service.sap.com/~sapidb/011000358700008661632002E">Operating System / SAP GUI version support matrix</a> (SMP login required) states, only GUI 7.10 is supported for Vista.

Update to 7.10 PL3 and I bet at least these problems will be gone

Thanks for the feedback. I downloaded the file gui710_3-10002995.exe from

<a href="https://websmp201.sap-ag.de/~form/handler?_APP=00200682500000001943&_EVENT=LIST&HEADER=&FUNCTIONBAR=&EVENT=LIST&ONR=01200615320200007657&NTYPE=T_CV_DELO&V=MAINT&TA=ACTUAL&AI=SWTYPSC|&AI=PECCLSC|OS&AI=PECU_OS|WIN32&AI=DELO|10002995">here</a> but on running the file, i got the error 'required components for this patch not installed.'

Appreciate if you can point me to the correct installation file for SAP Gui for windows 7.10

thanks

Hi,

you tried to download just the patch, not the whole installation.

Easiest way to get it is form the FTP-Server:

<a href="ftp://ftp.sap.com/pub/sapgui/win/710/compilation1/">ftp://ftp.sap.com/pub/sapgui/win/710/compilation1/</a>

Download, unzip and install...
