DB Export

Hi i have performed a export of Oracle DB 9.20 on AIX and i see the size of the export is only 3.37 GB i have used SAPINST to perform the export, the job log says that the export has been successfully completed, i just wanted to confirm whether the export has been performed successfully and normally how much does the export size of the DB would be????????

Hi Naresh,

recently we did our export activity. our DB size is 1.2TB. export size is around 22 gb.

really?? is the 1.2TB including free space within the database?

the export size depends on the actual database size - so if your db is about 30 gb then the export will be around 3-6 gb (eg. approx. 10-20%)...so how big is your database?
