Hi
My SAPR/3 is not coming up,I have installed it on window 2003,It's SAP R/3 4.6b.
Database is oracle 8i
C *** ERROR => CONNECT failed with sql error '1033'

There was no issue listnert but problem was with database.
I did manual start and then monitor the trace logs and when I noticed startup got stuck I restarted the service.

the meaning of the error ORA-1033 is:
Oracle intialization or shutdown in progress
You should check if the database was being shutdown and who stopped it.

Run: R3trans -x and check generated trans.log, then look up for Oracle errors (most probably it's listener configuration problem).
