Hello.

As part of the business continuity plans, we have setup a Disaster Recovery (DR) site for our business.

I would like to know further what would be a better method/ SAP best practices for SAP DR (warm site) that run on MSSQL 2000 platform. Currently we are backing up the SQL native backup file to tape and store it offsite, we will using this tape to perform database restore in case of disaster recovery occur.

Now we would like to setup a warm DR site using SQL ship log method, but I am not sure if this is a better method or not. For this reason, I would like to know what other DR method that other SAP customer is using in their Disaster recovery planning.

I also would like to know the method of implementing SQL log shipping for DR planning, I hope if someone can provide some guidance on this.

Best regards,

Phuong.
