Hi,
we are about to apply NW04 support stack 20 (from SP14), currently used for Mobile Sales (M.I. 2.5).
We have the option to move from the "old technology" java sync servlet to the "new technology" ABAP syncronisation service.
So we were wondering;
Has anyone done this before?
What are the benefits / issues?
Was it worth doing?
Any advice / tips welcome
Nic
Hi Nic,
Lots of customers are already moved to ABAP sync servic. Moving to sync service will improve the performacne as now its completely ABAP stack (during syncronization) and no JAVA - ABAP conversion required. Also the latest versions of mobile 7.0 and the whole new 7.1 (DOE) supports only sync service...
Its worth doing as the effort is very minimum. You just need to add one extra parameter to the client (MobileEngine.Config file) MobileEngine.Sync.Gateway.Service=/sap/bc/MJC/mi_host
Regards
Ajith
