NW2004s SR2 Installation problems

Hi Experts,

I am trying to install NW2004s SR2 on windows(2 GB RAM) workstation machine with MaxDB database. We were facing problem at Step 15 of 40 and not able to progress. This step consists of Creating Database Schema. I don't see any error or warning at this step even after 2hrs in Step 15.

Need your help to resolve the problem.

Please post sapinst.log and sapinst_dev.log so I can check for you.

Hi,

indeed, show us the <b>sapinst*.log</b> files, but also the <b>XCMDOUT.LOG</b> file.

Hello Madhan:

Wonering where did you get the SR2 installer. I got a software copy of SAP netweaver and tried with SAP developer workplace CD for installation. I chose the DeveloperWorkplace with MaxDb but when the MaxDb information comes comes looking for LABEL I dont dont where to point it to.

Could you please tell me how to get the installer for SR2 and which CD to look into to start installation.

Madhan, in the C -> Porgram files folder u will find a sapinst directory. See the trc files and other logs avaialble there. Post them here and some one moght be able to help.
