ASN creation

Hi all,

We need to make settings for the Advance Shipping Notification. Supplier have to fill the information about carrier, data, quantity. The ASN is registering in EBP. Could someone give any information?

please be more specific: are you targeting EAI exchanges (electronic document) or SUS use (transactional creation)?

Thanks for your replay. In my case ASN have to be creating in SUS and then transfer to the EBP. What shiuld be done for that purpose?

Have I to integrate XI for this?

Hi Vlad,

For data exchange between EBP and SUS you need XI to be configured. In the SUS configuration guide we have the details of XI configurations to be made.

Hi Vlad,

ASN functionality is available in the SUS-MM scenario. It seems to me, that you

have the SUS-SRM scenario in use. In this scenario ASN are not possible. There

are process differencies between SUS-MM and SUS-SRM.

When you need the ASN feature, consider switching the scenario.

Hi Claudia,

In my case the Plan Driven Procurement with plant maintenance scenario is used. The SCs are creating from Purchase Requisition created in backend. Then PO is creating and transfering to backend. The ASN have to be create by the vendor in SUS and transfer to the EBP.

What customizing steps needs to be done for my purpose?

Hi Vlad,

like I said, the ASN is not available in scenarios between SUS and SRM,

When you use the PDP with PM an ASN can be created in SUS and the

result is transferred to R/3, but not to SRM. The acting parties are SUS and R/3.

You need the number ranges, doc types, message types.
