Layout window not visible in my system

Hi all,

i am practicing webdynpro for ABAP, In my application i couldn't see the layout window for views, instead of displaying layout window its showing error message as follows <b>"The requested URL could not be retrieved"

The following error was encountered:

Unable to determine IP address from host name for gbdci550.in.ibm.com

This means that:

The cache was not able to resolve the hostname presented in the URL.

Check if the address is correct</b>

i have maintained the entry in my "HOST" file in my windows driver still i am not able to fix this problem

in some others machines its working, even they are maintaining the same entry, so there is no problem with entry i think.

can anyone suggest me the best way to fix this problem

Hi,

make sure that you use fully qualified domain names, see also <a href="http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70/helpdata/en/67/be9442572e1231e10000000a1550b0/content.htm">the documentation</a> and that all services in SICF are activated in your system (see SAP notes 517484, 1009930 and 1008689)
