File to Idoc Scenario

Hi,

I have a File to Idoc Scenario.

For the File Outbound I have a Business Service. The Idoc is to be sent to a SAP R/3 system 640 release.

When I create a Receiver communication channel for the Idoc adapter, Do i need to maintain a Port using the transcation IDX1. More so when I have a receive Idoc Scenario

Also Should the RFC connection be from the Intergation Server to the R/3 SAP system or vice versa.

yes, u have to maintain the port in the IDX1.

In RFC Destination u have to mention the R/3 System details which the receiver in your case.

In this case you need to create a port & RFC which will be used in IDOC Receiver Communication Channel. Both of these need to be mentioned in RCC & are mandatory fields.
