in idoc partner profile we have INBOUND AND OUTBOUND PARAMETERS

what is the use of these can any body explain.

Without partner profile maintance at WE20 EDI data will not transfer to SAP.This is especially for outgoing ASN or Inbound DELINS/ DELFOR.

Hi ,

The use of the parameters for the systems to recognize each other and accept or send the idocs that are being exchanged.

for example in the outbound parameters we specify the logical system name and the person to be notifiable in case of errors and the transfer mode immediate/batch

Inbound parameters : Information about IDocs that are received into the system.

Outbound parameters : Information about IDocs sent out of the system.
