Handling Charges are like service charges levied over and above the material price. Typically, handling charges are levied on spares whose list price is less compared to the cost incurred in packing, forwarding, transporting(air courier etc), making it available at the customers doorstep, fitting it on the customer equipment by trained professional. Thus company is able to recover the cost incurred in above activities, from the end customer.
