Hardware requirements for ECC 6.0

Hi,

We are making a new installation, not upgrade, of version ECC 6.0.

Which is sizing recommended for the development system for 40 users?

We go to use the following platform:

Linux-IA64

MAXDB 7.6 - 64-bits

ECC 6.0

We will not use hardware high availability for development system..

Hi,

sizing depends not only on number of users but also on backup methodology, downtime and soon

please refer to service.sap.com/sizing and do proper sizing if you are going to setup a production system

Hello,

I would say 1 CI/DB server ( quadri-processor 16 GB) and 1 application server (bi or quad processor, 8 to 16 GB).

The application server is not really for the load but to be able to test the programs in a 3 tiers environments. This application server can be shared with other systems. We install as much as 4 dialog instances on the same server for dev, and testbeds systems.
