Change obligatory field to optional

Hi experts,

I would like to ask you if you know how in srm (5.0 Extended Classic) change obligatory field to optional. I need to make the field target value on contract at item level optional, it is obligatory in standard. Can I do it via contomization (spro) or I have to implement proper BADI?

Hi,

In order to do that you'll have to change the message type from E ti W or I.

This should be done through customizing (Supplier Relationship Management/SRM Server/Cross-Application Basic Settings/Personalization/Message Control), but you first have to find the exact message ID and Number.

If this message is not available in the list for purchasing contracts, you have to add it manually in table BBPV_PDMSG through SM30.
