MICR Line not printed on Check SAP Script

Former Member

Hello:

We have ACOM pcmci card attached to the Xerox printer and card prints Signature,Logo and MICR line on the check along with SAP script data from t-code F110.

Now we are no more using the card and have the logos and signature moved

to SAP script .Logos and signature are printing fine from SAP Script but I am not able to print MICR line on the bottom of the check.

How to print the MICR line ????????????

I am using the font family MICR_E for MICR E-13B font in the paragraph MC.

For the paragraph format MC i coded like this

MC "C"&REGUD-CHECT&"C" "A"&REGUH-UBNKL&"A" &REGUH-UBKNT&"C"

MC C&REGUD-CHECT&C A&REGUH-UBNKL&A &REGUH-UBKNT&C

Both the above commands are not working properly and I am printing the

text at the bottom of the check instead of the MICR conversion of the above code.

How does the Xerox printer recognise the MICR font.Should the font be installed

on the printer or the font be installed on SAP.Now presently the MICR is coming from the card and the old code is

/* <Z6> o&REGUD-CHECT&o t&REGUH-UBNKL&t &REGUH-UBKNT&o </>

Any clues are appreciated and Thanks for reading the post.

I just verified at My development system,Looks like there is no issue at your coding.

issue should be at Printer side ,

See the my coding :

C&REGUD-CHECT&C A09591D003A 102D359D7C

REGUD-CHECT - cheque number ,it will come from

database

A09591D003A - Bank routing number (When you look at

Chque book ,it will have diffrent symbol )

here routing number is : 09591003 - while using sap

use like A09591D003A ,so that it print as like cheque.

102D359D7C - Bank account number

Check with printer related transaction or basis guy.

Thanks

Thanks Seshu:

The problem is in the printer.

Printer needs to be equipped with the Flash Card or Hard Drive or Dimm/SIMM

cards. On the hard drive the MICR font is installed and th font stays on the

printer. We can download the MICR font temporarily on the Printer by visiting

the Printer manufacturer website but the font resided on the printer buffer .Once

the Printer is switched off the the MICR font buffer is gone and the MICR

would not print on the Bottom of the check.

The Escape sequence commands differ from manufacturer to manufacturer of the Printer I suppose. For us the escape sequence code is not

C&REGUD-CHECT&C A&REGUH-UBNKL&A &REGUH-UBKNT&C

and instead

o&REGUD-CHECT&o t&REGUH-UBNKL&t &REGUH-UBKNT&o

Bottom Line:Buy the required hardware for the Printer and install on the Printer.

Thanks Much:
