copy controls question

in what situtation would we go for a different copy control. under normal circumstances we do not touch the copy controls. i mean to ask, in real time scenarios why would there be a need to touch the copy controls. can anyone explain with examples.

where in configuring Copy controls played a real important part. i need some examples

Copy controls have two main things:

Data transfer routines -- As the name suggests, whenever we need to copy data from one doc type to another we use this routines.

For ex : you have created some Z fields which you want to copy from SO to Billing , then you can use the data transfer routines

Copying requirements : This restricts or controls the copying of the data.

If all your copying conditions are satisfied , but still you want to restrict the copying functionality then you can use this..
