IS-Retail: Problem with Syndicating Article Master Data to PoS Outbound

Former Member

Hello Everyone,

We are working on a IS-Retail Scenario where we need to syndicate the master data changes from H/O to respective PoS Systems. We are using IDoc to transmit the master data changes.

SAP XI changes this IDocs to files and these files are imported into the PoS system.

We have defined a PoS Outbound Profile and assigned the profile to the respective stores.

But, when we are trying to transfer article master data to the stores from TCode WPMA, On a Merchandise Category basis, the system is throwing us a status message that No IDocs were created and No Messages are needed; although the PoS Interface Monitor shows that messages were successfully processed. But no IDocs are genrated from the messages.

Change pointers are activated, so that change in the data should be recorded and henceforth forwarded.

We are able to transfer other master data to PoS, for example, merchandise categories.

Anyone have any ideas what can be the problem?

Awaiting your replies,

Regards,

Amitabha

Hi Amitabh,

Hope you have created logical system in your system using following path if not you have to maintain logical system for all your stores;

IMG - SAP Netweaver - SAP Web Application Server - IDOC Interface /Application Link Enabling - Basic Settings - Logical Systems - Define Logical Systems

Creation of a Non logical system for each store would enable us to send outbound Idocs like COND_A04 and DEBMAS06.

Hi Muralidhara,

I maintained every ALE settings required for transmitting the IDoc. I have even compared the settings and all with standard SAP Delivered partner profiles. Everything seems ok. But for the particular combination of sales org., distributin channel and store that we have created, no IDocs are being generated, although for SAP Standard sites, IDocs are being generated.

Here is a listing of the steps I followed in ALE Configuration:

1. LS creation

2. Assign LS To Client

3. RFC Destination creation

4. Customer Distribution Model Definition

5. Partner Profile and Port Definition

6. Distribution Model Syndication

Are we missing something yet?

Thanks and regards,

Amitabha

Hi Amitabha,

SInce you are using transaction WPMA(manual repush) it is worthwhile checking the status of the articles involved in transaction WPER2 - POS outbound tools - Object analysis. This activity would tell you whether the EANs,pricing, listing etc are maintained for these articles. If any of these are not maintained properly for UoM(EA) it would not generate an IDoc.

Hope this helps.

Rgds,

Aram.

Solved the problem..Had to look at T-Code WPHF...It shows POS outbound analysis and which areas are erroneous for an Article. Thank you all of you for your valuable inputs.

Thanks and Sincere Regards,
