When you install a Netweaver 2004s System as a dev server, do you need to tick the DI option?
This is not supposed to be a DI server, but will be included in the DI landscape.
I have searched for SAP Notes/forums here but have not got a definite answer.
Any replies will be appreciated. with brownie points
Hello Kevin,
Greetings,
Its not necessary that you need usage type DI when you install a development server. It purely depends on your requirement. If u want to include this server into DI Landscape you have an option during the installation (ie) something like prepare for NWDI integration.
However if you don't have DI in your landscape then can proceed with the installation including usage type DI.
regards,
Anandh
Note: If u have plan to install PI in the same landscape then kindly consider DI in another WAS. We face some issues having both PI and DI in same WAS
