I'm getting a message saying "Unable to connect to the SLD" during an import of Directory objects.
Has anyone ever seen this problem? I'm attempting to import configuration objects from our DEV system to the QA XI system and got the error "Unable to Connect to SLD" and the import fails.
I saw an old message about checking the Exchange Profile to fix this. Then there was a comment about the SLD being case sensitive, but the actual resolution wasn't there.
Anyone know what the case sensitive reference might have meant? Where would the SLD be case sensitive? Or, where in the Exchange Profile should I look?
Hi Tom,
take a look at these values in the exchangeProfile:
com.sap.aii.connect.landscape.name
com.sap.aii.connect landscape.httpport
com.sap.aii.connect landscape.httpsport
these define the connection parameters for the SLD

Michal,
sappx1ci = com.sap.aii.connect.landscape.name
51200 = com.sap.aii.connect landscape.httpport
DOES NOT EXIST = com.sap.aii.connect landscape.httpsport
There was an addition profile setting related to the Landscape. That setting is below:
sld = com.sap.aii.connect landscape.contextroot
I encountered the same problem.
The resolution has nothing to do with the popup error message.
I discovered that in my environment, XI DEV has its' own SLD, and XI PRD has its' own SLD.
I went into the SLD on PRD, and manually created the neccessary namespace, sw product, sw component, technical system, and business system.
Afterwards, my import of the configuration objects worked.
Good luck,
Steve
Hi Tom,
Try running transaction SLDCHECK, to see whether you are connected to SLD.
