One purchasing group across purchasing organization and company code

Hi

I am using one purchaisng group that is responsible for 2 purchasing organization. These 2 purchase organization belong to 2 separate company codes. When I assign this P.Grp. in org. chart to second purchasing org. I cannot do so. The system gives an error message saying this P.Grp. is already assigned to another Purchasing Org.Is there a way to assign one P.Grp. to 2 P.Org. across company codes?

Hi Teja

The client uses the same people for the other purchase org. Also, our design calls for a purchase org by company code. The other company code necessiates a new purchaseing org., but the buyers remain the same. So I do not want to create new purchasing groups for the same buyers.

Can you please explain why do you want to do that?

Is there any specific requirement from the client? and the business scenario where you require such a setting?
