Hi,

when iam creating the customer in XD01 iam gtting the error that sales area not defined for customers? I had created the salea area in the enterprise structure? What is meant by sales area not defined for customers?

Go to Consistancy check in Enterprise structure to see whether you have missed anything there.You can check whether all definitions are complete.

Hello friend,

Ones I got the similar error after creation of customer master by uploaded data. However it was solved by correcting the maintained master data of common distribution channel & common division in VOR1 & VOR2.

So, go and first check out that whether the problem which is coming is only for those combined distribution channel or combined division and not for the main distribution channel and division which shares its data to other distribution channel and division. If yes then check out the assignment of sales organization- distribution channel and sales organization- division with others and then correct the combination.

Your problem will be solved.

Hi,

1. go to OVAO - maintain the reference sales organization.

2. go to OVAM - maintain the reference distribution channel

3. go to OVAN - maintain the reference division.

4. go to VOR1 - maintain common distribution channel

5. go to VOR2 - maintain common division.

Check all the t. codes mentioned above. Maintain all the required data there.

Now create the customer master in XD01. Your problem will be solved.

Check out the assignment of sales organization, deistribution channel *& division.

Maintain the common distribution channel & common division in OVR1&OVR2.

you have to do the common distribution channels and common divisions for rectifying these error

go to IMG and go to search

common distribution channels

this can be rectify your problem

This sales area has either not been designed (i.e. no entry in TVTA), or it refers to another sales area for customers (customer division/customer distribution channel in detail screen TVTA).In other words, the customer master data of the sales area specified corresponds to that of the reference area and only for the latter is the customer master data and the hierarchy maintenance allowed.

Procedure

You can maintain common master data in Customizing, using menu path Organization -> Assignments -> Logistics -> SD.
