Yes you have to create the RFC destination of type T in R/3

Create the RFC destination of type T

host: ourhost

service:sapgw00

and also your RFC sender CC should be active.

Hi Shyam,

First create RFC destination in SM59 and then create CC and give those details in the com channel.

Prasanthi.

HI,

Do we need to create anything on R3 system ? With out connection test can i use in CC?

jsut run the Connection test to make sure it is fine, the host and gateway mentioned should be fine.

if the RFC dest is fine then the PID which you have mentnoined in RFC dest will be available for XI RFC sender adapter.

Hi Shyam,

As pointed by kumar, please do a connection test once u create a RFC destination of type 'T'. Then create the RFC channel in the directory. Then give the other details. Make sure that in the gateway host and gateway service enter the values of your R/3 system.

Thanks,

Prasanthi.

Hi prasanthi,

As kumar specified the Connection test but am still getting the same error !

Then give the other details. Make sure that in the gateway host and gateway service enter the values of your R/3 system.

gateway host and gateway service are properly entered !

Type as T selected !

Shyam

hi shyam,

after executing step 1 i.e creating porgram id at R/3 through XI.

got to ST22 at R/3 and check whether any dump is found against "XI creating porgram-id at R/3 level".

we failed at creating PROGRAM-ID itself at R/3 level because of missing authorizations against my R/3 user id,which we will be using at XI RFC channel.

generally problem will be at PROGRAM-ID creation itself,so just go to ST22 and check any authorizations missing for your userid which is being used at RFC channel configuring at XI.

Also after activating the RFC sender CC, go to comm channel monitoring and check is there any error in that. Might possible your sender RFC CC is having error. If it is in green then go and do the connectivity testing.

Hi shyam,

create a RFC SENDER first and then activate the channel.

now go to sm59 there use the same program-id as u did at RFC SENDER COMMUNICATION CHANNEL.

note:program-id is registered by XI at R/3 level with details related to it's profile(XI profile).

step 1) create RFC COMMUNICATION CHANNEL with program-id as "any name" at XI first .

2)create TCP/IP connection with registered program-id created by XI at first step

so when you execute steps 2 then 1 you will get error ,coz by that time program-id is not yet registere by XI in R/3 domain.

Hi,

The programID which you are using in the RFC adapter should be the same as the one which was mentioned in the RFC destination.

Kumar.

Hi,

Create the RFC destiantion in SM59 as per Michal's Blog first and use the same program ID in your RFC Adapter.

Kumar.

Shyam,

Create the RFC destination in R/3 according to the blog, make the note of the PID which you are mentioning in the RFC destination.

Create the RFC sender agrement and in the PID tab, mention the same PID which you given in RFC dest.

Only thing is your RFC Sndr Should also be active. then you can send the data from R/3 to XI.

Hi,

Do a connection test as well...as your connection needs to be alive...
