what are pre requirments before XI? Plz any boby suggest me

The requirements are to be a fast, keen learner.

I have no ABAP and little Java but have Basis background, and over four years as a functional consultant - I have been an XI developer for over three years. ABAP and Java may help, but are not essential.

Hi Barry,

I know its not a gud practice to approach like this.. however, I was expecting a comment on the following thread

Since you have basis knowledge, can you plz have a look and give ur opinion on this.

Hi

SAP-XI is a middleware.It is an Integration platform and Technology just like any other EAI(Enterprise Application Integration).

In fact a knowledge of both Java and ABAP is required for SAP-XI.

You can really go for learning XI even if you have basic knowledge of both Java and ABAP.

ABAP & JAVA

Since XI is on the ABAP ans JAVA, if you know these 2 it's good.

chcek the blogs by talanki on the begineers guide to XI.

Hi,

U need to have knowledge about ABAP and Java.

ABAP is used in

1. Generating ABAP Proxies,

2. ABAP Mapping's.

Java is used in

1. Generating Java Proxies,

2. Developing Adapter Modules,

3. Java Mapping's

4. Writing User Defined Functions(UDF) in Graphical Mapping

Hi,

You'll need hands on knowledge on ABAP .

also little JAVA knowledge ...i.e. CORE JAVA.

Basic of B2B to integrate B2B stuff.
