Static profile parameter reset in multi server environment

Hi All

I have to reset the profile parameter "login/min_password_digits" in order to re-configure STMS and we have six applications servers in prod. Since this is not a static parameter I will have to restart SAP.

I would like to find out if this parameter needs to be reset, in every app server (and hence the restart of server) as against resetting this in just the central Instance, for re-configuring STMS.

why do you need to reset that parameter? for reconfiguring STMS? I dont get it...

Anyways, If the parameter belongs to your instance profile <SID>xxx you have to change it for all your other application instances as well.

This parameter needs to be reset to 0 ( If it is not already) to avoid the exception that occurs when the user TMSADM is being created by the STMS config. If not you cannot proceed.

In anycase I ended up changing the config in all app servers was able to config STMS.
