Hello,
I am configuring monitoring in Solution Manager.
Is it possible to write an alert in an os file ? If yes, how ? I did not find any auto-reaction method for that...
Daniel
Yes for testing purpuse you can append the sap trace files like workprocess or oracle alert log with an alert/error . If its unix
eg:
echo ORA-1555 alert_DEV.log
ORA-1555 will be added at the end. If you have enabled auto reaction method for this , you will get a mail saying an ORA-1555 has occured
Thanks
Prince Jose

Thanks for this idea, but my need is for production purpose.
I need to create a bridge between Solution Manager Monitoring and our non-SAP central monitoring tool.
I would write each alert message in a central file. A non-SAP agent should watch this file to relay the alert to our central monitoring tool. I would avoid trap SNMP.
Is is possible in RZ20/RZ21 ?
Daniel
