1.What XI knowledge is required for an MDM Implementation?

2.What are the adapters that are widely used in an MDM Implementation process. like RFC, IDOC etc.)

3.Pl share your XI experience in an MDM Implementation project

Hi Vijay,

you can do MDM implementation without know XI. I work on a big MDM project that doesn't required XI functionalities.

Hi Vijay,

we just use various MDM catalogs.

Tables are viewed and searched from SAP Portal using standard iView according with taxonomy and hierarchies. Viso workflows are set into catalogs in order to obtain particular operations when the user do something. Finally Family partitioning permits the use of Publisher in order to have paper catalogs with Adobe InDesign.

Hi Vijay,

Should be able to configure XI scenarios using standard content provided by SAP and should be able to use File, IDOC, RFC and SOAP(to call MDM API's like updating key/value pairs) adapters of XI.
