we are having twos eparate networks linked thro a router.
We are able to ping the machines on netwrok 1 using network 2. As a result, using the Ip address of XI server on netwrok 1, we are able to login to SAPXI from network 2. However, we are not able to trigger SLD< Integration Builder etc as they are linked thro the host name. how to overcome this hurdle? Do we have to replace the host name with IP address at XI server level itsef? Please advise.
Thanks,
Bhaskar
ip address works fine always

Hi,
Have you tried to insert an entry in hosts file of your pc or better in WINS or DNS internal server of your network1 as next?
<ipadress> <hostname>
80.30.240.56 myhostname
Then you will be able to access that host just with its name.
Hope this helps.

Hi Bhaskar,
but have you tried calling integration builder using the IP ? you can always change the integration builder start page in the exchangeProfile (start page) to use IP instead of the server name...
but if you cannot adress it with the IP then maybe you have to open some more ports?

michal
