IDES ECC 5.0 installation error -GUI installation

Hallo everybody,

I have just install the central instance & databae instance successfully and now i want to install the GUI, (i use the SQL 2005 databae), then i run the startinstgui.bat file , on the next screen fololwing required input

Sapinst installation GUI

Enter the hostname and TCP/IP port you want to log on

host-localhost

port-21212

but unable to log on

please give solution How i can install the Front-End. or How i can solve the probelm.

I install IDES on standalone machine with following details

SID=ERP

instance=00

hostname=sapsrv

database=SQL 2005

So please how i can install GUI/or Front-end?

you want to install the sapgui?

-> use the appropriate cd/dvd (sap presentation nw_2004s; eg. sapgui 7.10)

-> search for SapGuiSetup.exe (under GUI -> WINDOWS -> WIN32) and double click

-> foloow the instructions (you have to select at least the option SAPLOGON!)

when successfully finished you are able to fill in the relevant system data into the saplogon using NEW ENTRY
