Communication Channel Monitoring Not Working

Hello All,

In my current Dev server the CC Monitoring gives a "page can not be displayed" when i click on cc Monitoring from RWB--> component Monitoring -->Adapter engine --> Status

Can anyone tell me the reason for the same.

Hi ,

can you go to tools->Internet Options->Advance, uncheck show HTTP friendly error messages under Browsing, then try

http://<host>:<port>/mdt/channelmonitorservlet

directly?

and see what's the error message?

Thanks a lot at least i have a way out noe, i see it green and it shows :-

but still my file is not picked up.Any other ideas?

Hi Anirban,

the log showed that no file was picked up and processed.

can u check whether the file path and name in ur cc definition and the file system is consistent ?

Hi Aaron,

Its same and correct, by the way i could navigate to your path

/usr/sap/AZE/DVEBMGS52/j2ee/cluster/server0/log

But there are lot of files even eith todays date, how do i use these file for troubleshooting the CC?

Hi Anirban,

you need the log viewer or smd to read the corresponding defaulttrace file according to the timestamp (first get the file then get the content inside the file), cuz the timestamp format is written in hex inside the defaulttrace files.

Please check the authorization on ur user id.

You need the authorizations of user group SAP_XI_ADMINISTRATOR with the role modify.

Check note note 804124 http communication with xi adapter engine fails.

Symptom

The CPA cache update of Directory data <b>or navigation from the Runtime

Workbench (RWB) to the Message Display Tool (MDT</b>) fails, because the

respective ULRs cannot be resolved (e.g. "page not found error").

can you try a direct link:

http://server:port/mdt/amtServlet ?

BTW

try restarting RWB (close all IE windows and open it again)
