Hi all,
I hope anybody can help me.
I want to Logon SAP via Excel with the help of this
manual
<a href="https://www.sdn.sap.comhttp://www.sdn.sap.comhttp://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/608058b4-81b7-2910-4598-8a66dcdba0a8">How to connect to sAP R/3 and call BAPI from MS Excel VBA</a>
But, anytime I try to logon I got the message
<b>Name or password is incorrect!</b>
But it's definitely correct.
Additional I looked up the Incorrect Logins in table <i>usr02</i>
and they logins are registered. So the System is also correct.
Is there anything else I have to do?
Perhaps in SAP?
Thank you for your advice.
Regards
Philip

Second...Have you tried to pass the password in Upper Case???

Unfortunately I don't know why some passwords didn't work yet.

Scripting thread questions seem to be long-term problems... is this still the same problem? Or a recurring one?
1st of all: Why do you need a password?
2nd: There are a number of components involved, and some of them assume upper-case (and might convert it anyways) and even when setting the password, certain characters can cause problems.... but the backend system might not handle this in an expected way, or might even have been instructructed to do so...
Alternately, also when instructed to do so, the USER TYPE can play a role as well...
Cheers,
Julius
