how to copy entries from saplogon to an Vista machine?

I wander how to transport saplogon settings from XP to Vista.

Previously (on xp and before) it was simply copying saplogon.ini, sapmsg.ini, from "windows" directory of one PC to "windows" directory of other pc

Additionally I copied also "services" file from "C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc" from one pc to other.

However in Vista it seems this does not function

There is simply no "saplogon.ini" in "windows" directory originally on Vista.

When I copy it from XP machine(it takes a while) it does not show the systems in saplogon(even after restart).

If I enter system in saplogon it does not appear in saplogon.ini (it seems these settings are not in saplogon.ini)

Does anyone have idea how to copy entries from saplogon to an Vista machine?

search saplogon.ini on your Vista hard disk. you will find the location and know where to copy it. it might reside in a user's directory.

By the way, I hope that you are using SAPGUI 7.10 with latest patch on Vista...

another user at SDN found the file at the saplogon.ini is stored in a different path:

C:\Users\BM Consulting\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Windows

Your path will differ but will be in your users' directory somewhere.

check SAP Note 1031740 - SAP Logon: C:\Windows\saplogon.ini has no effect in Vista
