I wander how to transport saplogon settings from XP to Vista.
Previously (on xp and before) it was simply copying saplogon.ini, sapmsg.ini, from "windows" directory of one PC to "windows" directory of other pc
Additionally I copied also "services" file from "C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc" from one pc to other.
However in Vista it seems this does not function
There is simply no "saplogon.ini" in "windows" directory originally on Vista.
When I copy it from XP machine(it takes a while) it does not show the systems in saplogon(even after restart).
If I enter system in saplogon it does not appear in saplogon.ini (it seems these settings are not in saplogon.ini)
Does anyone have idea?

Hi,
What is was mentioning that there are ini files if you install the SAP gui from scratch. They need to be deleted.
Is your user admin or not when you add a system. What happens if you run SAP gui as administrator (meaning right click and select there Run als admin)?

Hi,
I've copied the sapfront.ini, saproute.ini, sapmsg.ini and saplogon.ini and that shoudl work. Best is to delete the default ini files on the Vista machine first, zip the ones from XP and unzip them on the Vista machine. Run the unzip as administrator (right mouse button on zip file or Winzip). Even the admins have not standard enough rights to put stuff in the win dir
