Usage of DC in (non-) DC-based Web Dynpro Project

Hi,

I want to use a DC in a normal Web Dynpro - project.

So i have a web dynpro component added to the public part of the DC project and want to use it now in a normal web dynpro project.

Is it possible to access that component now from a normal web dynpro project or do i need to create a wdp - project based on a DC?

Hi,

For my knowledge you can't access a DC from a non DC project.

Create another DC project and access the first DC .

One workaround : You can copy the publicpart of the DC into the project and access !! You can try this.

Public part will be a .jar file.

Hi Anilkumar,

Thanks for your help. I like the idea with the public part jar file, but i got stuck.

I tried to include the jar file to the second project, but i cannot instanciate the component. i only get access to the interface, and the method from the DC i want to use is non-static.

Do you have any more hints for me?

What exactly is your requirement? Why do you want to access a DC from a non Dc project?

If you can let us know this then we can suggest some alternative.

Hi NagaKishore,

We have a Web Dynpro App that is already finished and want to extend it with a commonly used component, or a component that might become interesting for other WDP-Apps and so makes sense to develop as DC.
