<b><b>Hello Forum,

Our Client is using ITS- 610 for R/3 4.6C and WAS -620 through Portal 5.0. The issue what they are facing is; the entire screen gets refreshes (Flickers) when the user move across tabs.

Did any one have this issue? If you have any solution or suggestion is greatly appreciated.

Hi Guru,

you have to provide some more details:

- is this page template-driven or WebGui

- can the flickering be triggered by Dynamic HTML / javaScript ? is there any in the page?

- what browser is used?

Hi Michael,

Thanks for the quick response.

It's WebGui, We don't use DHTML/JScript and the browser is IE6.

Thanks

Hi Guru,

if your client would use webgui from ITS 6.20 instead, they would see no flickering. This version uses double buffering to avoid flickering. That is not the only improvement that makes it worth to get rid off 6.10.

Klaus,

Thanks for solution. The problem is the clinet doesn't want to upgrade the ITS 6.10 to IT 6.20 as the 6.20 screens are different from 6.10.

He wanted a solution within 610. I was just wondering if any have solution for this.

Thanks

Hello Guru

the screens of 6.20 should not be that much different from the ones created by 6.10.

If you are referring to the SAP Streamline design you can go back to the classic design by setting:

~menu2002 0

~webgui_theme 99

During the installation of ITS 6.20 you can choose if you want to use the new design or the old enjoy design. After the installation you can use the Admin Tool to switch between the designs (Configuration-General-Enjoy Design). That's better than messing around with internal service file parameters, which are not officially supported and may change any time.
