Visual Administrator stops at 99%

Hi All,

We have new system (ECC 6.0) ready with ABAP + JAVA stacks. I can log in to R/3 system (ABAP) and when i enter url <http://servername:50100>, it takes me to start page. I can log in to see System Information using j2ee_admin user id. My instance is up and running (dispatcher, server0 and SDM).

When i tried to run visual admin tool it hangs at 99% and when i try to run configtool it also throws an error:

Error occured while loading secure store.

Msg: File "sapmnt/SID/global/security/data/SecStore.properties" does not exit.

Any suggestions what can be done to use both tools.

Thanks

Hello Bhavin,

First close all applications and then try login to VA, as sometimes it might be internet issue.

Or

Please reboot the server completely once and try login in.

Do let me know if this resolved your issue.

Thank you.

Hi Manomeet,

I tried that before to restart the server I mean not reboot but stopping and starting the instance.

We cannot Reboot the server. we have to do it during outage time only. which is 5:00 pm everyday.

If any other things that can take care.

Thanks.

Hi ,

Might be problems with the Secure store password.

Please check and try running again.

Thank you.

Hello Bhavin,

Just check if J2ee_admin is not locked. Check in ABAP stack. Also check for SAPJSF.

Hi, Bhavin,

In order to see whats wrong with the VA, you need to collect logs and see what exception it returns. In order to do so, you can perform the following:

1. delete all the contents into the ../j2ee/admin/logs folder (ensure that VA is stopped)

2. add a parameter into the ../j2ee/admin/go script : -Ddebug=true

3. start VA using the modified script and try to connect

(After this you can remove the Bdebug=true )

Then if you post what the exception is mabe it will be easier to help you.
