Question on interpreting incoming sales orders electronically

Hi

We have a business scenario in which - one of the incoming sales order channels is through a written note and faxed to our customer service dept. We want to automate reading of this - note and convert it to an orders05 idoc and be able to post sales orders into our ECC 5.0 system.

We also have XI 3.0 ( SP18 ) in our environment. What are the different ways the above can be achieved ?

You could try suggesting sending a PDF instead of a fax.

Otherwise you may have to use a document imaging/mangement system as well - not sure of way to use a fax like the PDF, anyway!
