non-sap products in SLD

hi,all

i got a question, regarding the NON-SAP PRODUCTS ,when we goto the SLD page and click for new software component their we it will show a message as (add non-sap products ) i am bit confused about what product name should i give a SAP product or other product which not a product of sap ,pls help me

Give it a name that makes sense to you and the landscape.

for an example Business System, I would use

NS_3RD_Company_Dev_100

NS= Non SAP

3RD = 3rd party

Company = software suplier

Dev = Dev/QAS/PRD

100 = Client of the system (if required)

You may wish to inlcude something like CRM or SRM or FI to suggest the type of system as well

U can give any logical name. It is written "Non-SAP Product" bcoz these products needs to be created by us and they r not a part of standard SA products like SAP CRM< SAP MDM etc.

You can use any anonymous.It is advisable to use a name that corresponds to your requirements.
