Renaming SAP user id's??

Hi All,

We have a requirement to rename the existing user ids in SRM. Is there any such way to do this? Its very urgent. Please let me know if have work or come accros such situation.

Hi,

Renaming of User ids is not possible.

You have to create New User ids.

One more problem , even if it is possible to rename , it would not be possible for the renamed user to access documents of the earlier user.

This is because each document created in SRM will have an identifier of who has created the document.

Thanks for the reply.

I have found an option in SU01 for renaming the existing User IDs, but don't know it will be helpful in retaining the existing data for the existing User ID's ? Can you suggest any answer for the same?

Thats is what i was telling in my previous reply.

Even if you are able to rename , you will not be able to access the documents created by the existing userid's.

This is because all the documents created will have link to the user id.
