Change host name

Hi,

We installed XI system on host ab308g.xx.com

We want to change all urls refer xyz.ss.com insted of ab308g.xx.com.

What are the things, do I need to change?

Could you please let me know as early as possible.

Hi Ben,

You need to change the all places where the server host name is writing in hard code,

Change the Profile Pamater, the users, see note 8307,

Change RFC Destination in and out your WAS ABAP,

Change RZ70, SLDAPICUST,

then check that the abap system is going up,

if the abap work move to the j2ee

Change the J2EE connection to the ABAP system in the config tool -> Secure store,

then check that the j2ee system is going up,

Log into the Visual admin and change the JCO & SLD Services,

changing in sld server will be needed,

Finnaly, You will need to change the ExchangeProfile

I hope i didn't forget anything,

I don't know if sap will support it, it work for me,

Hi Ben,

it's a quite difficult process with XI

so I suggest getting some help from someone who knows XI

and ont doing it on your own

there is a note on OSS that suggest how to do it but I'm not sure if SAP supports such changes at all

on the other hand I saw such changes but we had to dig inside to

change everything back to work
