Hi
Runtime Workbench (Central Monitoring): view of all components and processes at runtime.
Following are central monitoring tools for the complete XI landscape:
· Component monitoring: Central viewing of XI components, connection status in a specific domain..
Like XI components: SLD status, IR status, ID status, RWB status and IE status
· Message monitoring:
1) To track the status of messages
2) To find errors that have occurred and establish what caused them
-is only available for asynchronous messages
· Graphical end-to-end monitoring: The complete status of the message. It gives you a graphical view.
Note: It has two options:
Instance monitoring- Monitor the entire message flowing across a particular XI component.
Process monitoring- Monitor a single message flowing thru the various components in XI
End-to-end monitoring includes message monitoring, adapter monitoring, BPE if BPM is involved. So end-to-end monitoring tells you complete description of your scenario......but message monitoring is concerned only with source message coming to target message successfully generated.
· Performance monitoring: To display the statistical data on the performance of message processing.
o Cache Monitoring
o Alert Configuration
. Alert monitoring: -alerts being sent by email, SMS
