Hi Joe,

Please check the RFC in SM59.

Check whether you hostname and gateway jost id entered in that RFC.

If not then enter your hostname and gateway instance name.

Hi Joe,

Try to delete and recreate the RFC.

Normally when you get that error, it means you need to run the program first (external of SAP).

The problem was the kernel patch level. PL 121 for SAP kernel 7.0 had an issue with registered program RFCs.

I have upgraded to PL 128 and it resolved the issue.

Hello Joe,

From the error logs I can make out two things.

Your SAP resides on cpsaput1 while external program resides on cpamhq-sbg04 .

Now you have done a system copy on cpsaput1 from a SAP system which was connecting fine to the RFC. That connection was going through because SAP details for the old server were correctly maintained at cpamhq-sbg04 but the same has not been done for cpsaput1 . Ask the adminsitrators for cpamhq-sbg04 to make settings for cpsaput1 and then try RFC again.

The Seeburger RFC connects fine to another system on the same server with a system number of 60.

Ths gateway information in the RFC is blank, so it is using the default server and gateway.

Hello Joe,

I am not sure what The Seeburger RFC is but what I am quite convinced is that settings need to be changed in that system. it needs to be connected to the new system.
