Data archiving in Disaster Recovery environment

We want to archiving SAP R/3 data for our production system. We've setup an standby server in DR data center. I want to know:

  • Can standby server access the archived data? If yes.

  • Those two servers share the same archived data or we must duplicate the archived data to DR data center?

  • Suppose there will be a lots data to be archived, normally how to sync the standby database with PRD database, by applying logs or by database copy?

We are going to using 3rd party arching software, IBM commonstore for SAP with ContentManager.

Thanks for your comments.

Hello Manomeet,

I also THINK there is solution, but I want to know how does it work. Do you have any experience/reference which you can share with us?

The document is good for archiving but no specific information for DR server.

Thanks
