Passing cell value to get data function

Hi to all,

I'm new at XL Reporter and i found that a certain field i require in a report i'm building is not included in the dimension. I tried to use get other data function but I could not pass value of a cell to its condition box.

Can anybody help me out with problem.

Hello Johnarth,

you can't pass parameters to Get Other Data. You must do something else. If you want to match some external data with what you got in your actual lines, you must gather the general information from your table, then with VLOOKUP you can match the value from your cell with those in your general table.

I thought I already explain this in an other thread. Well, think of it like searching in a table on your worksheet to match your data from your cells.
