Hi All,
While Creating Condition with Reference using the Tcode: XK14. i got the below error message:
Error Message:- Validity period of the condition created Overlaps with conditions with shorter validity periods. These conditions will be deleted when you save.
If the old condition record is completely contained in the new condition record, you receive a system message. The message tells you that the old condition record will be deleted if you continue (This message appears when you want to save). You can either stop what you are doing or continue by confirming.
Whenever we change the price with validity periods falls with in the earlier indicated dates then the system overwrites the previous periods with value. Means the current value with the validity dates will be updated and we will not see the old validity periods .
Plz Tell me how to control the above issue. User want that deleted record also.
Regards
Sudheer
Hi Sudheer,
In standard SAP, you cant have two condtion records for a same condition type at a time.
If you create a new condition record, for which the validity period falls in the old condition record, then for that perticuler period new condition record will be activated and once the validity period of new condition record is completed then automatically old condition record will be activated.
But it wont delete the condtion record completely, its only deactivate older one for a perticuler time.
Example you have a condition record having validity from Augest 1st 2007 to August 30th 2007. but if you create one more condition record which have validity from August 15th to August 20th then for that perticuler period the old condition record will deactivate and again from august 21st the older once will be activated.
Hope this is clear.
REWARD IF HELPFUL.

Praveen

Hi
This error occur because the create condition record is overlap with Existing record.
Eg: Correct Validity
Old Record - Validity period: 01.01.2006. - 31.12.2007
New Record - validity period: 01.01.2008 - 31.12.9999
so the New condition record should overlap with existing record.
Reward if it helps

Can you try making the Old Condition Record - Mark for deletion. Then enter new condition record.
Also, as per best practises, you should not have condition records set-up in that way. Please advice your user.
Let me know if you have any doubts.
Thanks,
Ramesh
