Hey, with all these questions/debates/forum requests floating about, how about a voting system?
Some forums out there have a special poll post (not sure if SDN could do this?), or it could be a completely separate application. We could have two types of polls:
Register interest - simple button click to register that you are interested in something - e.g. a new forum
Vote - a good ol' democratic election. This could be either for saying yay or nay to a new feature, or to vote on which new SDN feature to be implemented soonest
Just an idea....
Cheers,
Mike
Edit: Ahem, just noticed that the vote isn't available in the link above unless you are logged in but shows you the results instead. The actual vote is a similar box but with radiobuttons and a "view results" link.

Hi Mike:
That would be really nice -:) But I'm sure that the SDN should need to develop it and it might take some time...Another option is to use Zoho Polls
Greetings,
Blag.

Hi,
Jive (where SDN forums is based on) has polls as feature:

Great! It would be nice to see that in SDN. I'm aware we could use external polls (as a few people have done in the past), but everyone uses a different poll site and it's a) more difficult to set up and b) people are less likely to go to another site to vote than if they see a radiobutton right there in the forum post.
This isn't limited to suggestions and SDN issues, it would be very useful for quick polls in the forums - e.g. How do people handle problem X? How big is your Workflow Team? Does Business or IT maintain master data for XYZ?
I would imagine this would be especially interesting in BPX where right and wrong become very fuzzy concepts.
Cheers,
Mike
