change gl a/c

Hi all,

i have a GL a/c which is allready posted with som transactions. now i need to change it like 'put OPEN ITEM MANAGEMENT' check box.

but once posted gl a/c wont accept changes like this. is there any way to do.

Did you make sure that the account balance is zero before changing the g/l account setting. It's not recommended to do that if the balance is not zero.

Make the GL balance zero and change the master record. It is not recommended by SAP to change this parameter.

the system wont allow you to change if there are transaction in the previous acct. YOu need to make it zero balance and change it to open item managed. make the balance to zero and change it to open item managed even with transaction it will allow.
