Derived Role Z-transaction issue

Has anyone had a problem with having custom (Z-transactions) transactions in your master role, then when the derived role is generated from this master role, these Z transactions and their authorization objects are missing in the derived role?

Are the authorization objects for the z transactions properly configured in SU24? Also, what version are you on?

The Z transactions should always come through on the derived role. The auth objects will only come through if you have them set up in SU24.

We are 640 Basis patch 14, erp 5.0. when we put the ztransaction authorization objects & activies into SU24, then all roles containing this transaction are affected by this change (the next time they are generated), but we do not want all roles to be affected - only the new role. It looks like derived roles will not be effective for our use.

Susan,

The only way to make sure changes in SU24 is brought into existing roles is to update the role in expert mode with the "merge with new data option".

Did you try to adjust all the derived roles from the Master role to see if this bring populate custom t-code & auth objects to the derived roles? (Authorization -> Adjust Derived -> Generate Derived roles).
