What is "shipping component" in SAP ?

Hi sandeep,

There is no such thinks "Shipping Component" in SAP,

Shipping is one think and Component is another.

Normaly in MM module we use the component for Subcontracting Process.

Shipping is used in Sales and Distribution module to ship the material to Customer.

Hi,

Shipping comes under LE (Logistics Execution) along with Warehouse Management and Transportation Management. SAP has clubbed all the execution parts of Material Management into WM and Sales and Distribution into Shipping. Transportation planning is part of APO, but the execution happens in LE-Transportation.
