Can you please tell me what is RFID( Radio Frequency Identification) and what its use in SAP.

RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) ia an innovative technology of automatic identification (materials, cases, pallets, goods, packaging etc.,) by means of radio tags.

SAP uses this RFID Technology in SAP Auto-ID Infrastructure for sensing and controling the automated signals in real-time. It connects directly with business processes requiring signal data to drive faster and better business decisions.

Hello Reddy,

RFID in SAP is mainly used to allow MAM clients to employ the RFID Management functionality.

You can also control an RFID label printer directly from SAP Auto-ID Infrastructure 4.0 using TCP - SAP Note 886425
