material parts missing

Hi Experts,

I am creating a production order and come across that there is a shortage of material, a pop up appears displaying "material parts missing". What should I do? What are the ways to find this shortage of material and How to fill this shortage?

Can any one help me out?

Hi,

In the pop-up which appears, choose mateiral shortage you will get the shortage qty of the dependent requirement of that particular material.

In T.code OPJK (checking control) choose your order type & business function 1 & then you can do settings that,

1.If material not available order will not be created.

2.Order will be created even though material is not available.

3.Use decides whether to create an order or not.

For the shortage qty procurement proposals (purchase requisition or planned order is to be created).

I am creating production order using Tcode IW81. The issue arises when I release this Order.
